The 55th-ranked BYU men's tennis team will host rival Utah Tuesday in its last regular season tennis match.

BYU handed Utah a 5-2 defeat in Salt Lake City back in February, so the Utes will be looking for payback.

Spectators should show up early for the doubles matches, head coach Jim Osborne said.

The duo of Manuel Calvo and Damien Ward has been on fire as of late. On Saturday, they defeated the No. 4 doubles team in the country, Leif Meineke and Wesley Moodie, 8-6 at Boise State. Two weeks previous, they downed a Stanford duo ranked second in the nation.

Today, Calvo and Ward will face the No. 15 doubles team of Ben Coates and Phil Rodrigue. Calvo and Ward lost their last doubles match against Utah 8-3, and Rodrigue was not even playing.

BYU is coming off a 5-2 loss to Boise State on Saturday and a 4-3 win over Idaho on Friday. The Cougars are 11-8 on the season, and 4-4 in WAC play.

Nic Losee missed the weekend's action due to a ligament pull in his hand but should be available for today's match, Osborne said.

"This match will help determine seedings in the upcoming WAC Championships," Osborne said.

The WAC Championships will be held April 21-24 in San Diego, Calif.

Today will also be the final home match for departing seniors Calvo and Benji Rideout.

First serve is at 2:30 p.m. on the outdoor tennis courts south of the Smith Fieldhouse.
