Looking to prove they deserve a higher ranking, the Cougar hockey team will play Eastern Washington tonight at Seven Peaks Ice Arena before heading north to take on Weber State on Saturday.

The Cougars are currently No. 7 in the American Collegiate Hockey Association's regional rankings. They will play the current No. 2 team in the region, Eastern Washington, tonight.

"We have a great chance to get some good upsets and make a better name for ourselves this year," said Douglas Kimball, BYU hockey team's assistant coach.

On Saturday, the Cougars will travel to Ogden to play Division 1 Weber State. The Cougars beat the Wildcats 3-1 two weeks ago in Provo, and Kimball thinks a win tonight will give the Cougars more confidence going into the game.

"I think we'll come in with a high tempo," Kimball said. "We're going to look for ways to exploit their goalie a little more and get a couple more points on them."

Tonight's game will start at 8:30 p.m. The team will also play at the Ice Sheet in Ogden at 8:15 p.m. Saturday.
