A benefit concert will be held for a late BYU student at 7 p.m. Saturday, at Timpview High School. The concert will feature Peter Breinholt, Sam Payne and Joshua James.

Cameron Williams, 24-year-old BYU student from Orem, died February 16 from gastric cancer. His optimistic attitude and medical treatments helped him live six months longer than the 48 hours he was given from doctors when diagnosed, said family friend Tracy Rupp, who has helped fundraise for Williams.

His rare cancer treatments were not covered by insurance and left his parents with medical debts. Since Williams' death, the concert is also being used as a goodbye tribute to him.

"He was a very outgoing person, really genuine," Rupp said. "He was always willing to do things for everyone else and now we have the chance to do something for him."

Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at the door or at Smiths Tix.
