Tuesday, April 8

Bilingual dance and theater: A celebration will honor the Peruvian writer Cesar Vallejo. The production "Yo. Solo Cesar Vallejo (I. only Cesar Vallejo)" will begin at 7:15 p.m. in the JSB Auditorium. Admission free.

Pre-Diabetes Class: 7-9 p.m. at Diabetes Management Clinic in Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. Fee: $25.

Devotional: Beth Vaughn Cole, dean of the BYU College of Nursing, will give a Devotional address at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center.

Legislative Wrap-up Night: to discuss activities of last legislative session, 7 p.m. at Wasatch Elementary, 1080 N. 900 East , Provo.

Middle East Studies Arabic Lecture: Sadik J. Al-Azm, a visiting lecturer at Princeton University and an emeritus professor of modern European philosophy at the University of Damascus, will present a lecture on "Democracy and the Middle East: A View from Damascus," 2 p.m. in 238 HRCB.

The BYU Idol Finale: 7 p.m. in the Wilkinson Student Center Terrace. Admission free. Winners from the previous months will compete for the title of BYU Idol. Info: Student Activities Board, 422-3122 or stab.byu.edu.

Global Awareness Lecture: His Excellency Javier Ruperez, consul-general of Spain in Chicago, will lecture at noon in 238 HRCB. His topic will be "A Spanish View of Terrorism, Trade and International Relations."

Guest lecturer: The College of Family Home and Social Science is hosting a lecture at 11 a.m. in the HBLL Auditorium. Russell B. Swensen, a professor of history at the University of Exeter, will be the guest

lecturer.

Research presentation: BYU computer Science students will present research completed during the semester, 11-11:50 a.m. in 1170 TMCB. Cash awards will be sponsored by Microsoft.

Friday April 11

Fundraiser: The Wheelchair Foundation has teamed up with Rock The Block Foundation to host a fundraising party. Together, these organizations hope to raise $20,000 to assist in the next wheelchair delivery to Bolivia in May 2009. The party is in the Ream's parking lot in Provo at 7 p.m. and will include a live band, a Guitar Hero competition, and a hip-hop, and will last until 1 a.m. Food is provided and a $1 donation is required. Area focus seminar: "Korea Turns Right: the New 'Bulldozer' Presidency of Lee Myung-Bak" is the topic of a Korean Seminar 1-4 p.m. in 238 HRCB.

Senior Celebration: Graduating seniors will enjoy a variety of activities during the President's Senior Celebration in the Wilkinson Student Center.

All-you-can-eat pizza, hamburgers, chips and ice cream will be served in the Cougareat, 6:30-8 p.m. Activities include board games, ping pong, karaoke and more in the Terrace, 7-9 p.m. and Garden Court, 7-11 p.m. Noteworthy and Vocal Point will perform in the WSC Ballroom throughout the night. Bowling in the Games Center will be available, 7-11 p.m. President Cecil O. Samuelson will address students during the evening. Prize give-aways in the WSC Ballroom throughout the evening including DVDs, iPods and mountain bikes. All graduating seniors may come for free, as well as their spouses and children. Graduating seniors may bring one guest for $5.

Classic movies: A movie double feature starring Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy in "Way Out West," (65 minutes) and "The Music Box," (30 minutes) will be featured in the Harold B. Lee Library auditorium at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30. Admission free.

Saturday April 12

Indexing classes: The Family History Library in Salt Lake City is offering free classes 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on how to do indexing, an easy-to-use online program for indexing genealogical records for public use. Genealogy research: The Family History Library is offering a free all-day series of classes on researching genealogy in England and Wales. Traditions Ball: BYU Student Alumni Association to host Traditions ball at Gordon B.
