Education Week participants are invited to attend fine arts performances in the Harris Fine Arts Center. Pride and Prejudice: A Musical, based on the Jane Austen novel is a new musical with lyrics written by Deborah L. Morris and music by Ann Kapp Andersen. It plays Tuesday through Friday evenings in the De Jong Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m.

Renowned violinist and daughter of Elder Dallin H. Oaks, Jenny Oaks Baker will perform movie themes from popular films such as "The Wizard of Oz," "Romeo and Julie," "Somewhere in Time" and other selections. Her concerts are at 7:00 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall.

A musical account from the scriptures, "With Mine Own Hand - The Musical Account of Nephi," is a story told of Nephi through music and dialogue using the books of First and Second Nephi in the Book of Mormon. It was created by Dale and Ramona Zabriski and plays Tuesday through Friday in the Pardoe Theater at various afternoon and evening times. (See the Campus Education Week guide for more details on all three events.)

Many participants might be disappointed to find performances sold out because of advance ticket sales but can check at the HFAC ticket office between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tickets are $12 for each performance.
