BREAKING NEWS: Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin passes away

Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles died Monday night.

Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin, an apostle of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died last night at 11:30 p.m. according to lds.org.

He was the oldest living apostle at age 91. He died because of causes incident to age.

Jane Wirthlin Parker, his oldest daughter had been caring for Elder Wirthlin in his Salt Lake City home and was present. Wirthlin's wife, Elisha Rogers Wirthlin passed away in 2006.
