Juvenile Problem
June 5: A group of rowdy juveniles was reported at the JSB. The juveniles had vacated the premises before police arrived.
Theft
June 5: Copper piping was stolen from BYU’s storage complex near the LDS Motion Picture Studio. The piping is valued at $1,000.
June 5: A bicycle was stolen from the JKB. The bike is valued at $600.
June 5: A purse was stolen from a vehicle at Aspen Grove. Orem Police later recovered the purse. Only cash was missing from the purse.
June 5: Bike parts were stolen off a bike at the Smith fieldhouse tennis court rack. The frame was still intact. The parts are valued at $250.
June 7: A locked bike was stolen from Wyview Park. The bike is valued at $400.
June 10: A lawn edger was stolen from the Auxiliary Laundry Building. The edger is valued at $317.
June 10: A vehicle in the Wyview Park lot was broken into. A backpack and laptop were reported stolen. The laptop is valued at $900 and the books are valued at $220.
June 10: An athletic bag belonging to a sports camp attendee was stolen from the Cannon Center. The bag is valued at $20; its contents are valued at $175.
June 11: A locked bicycle was stolen from Wyview Park. The bike is valued at $650.
Suspicious
June 5: An adult male dressed in black was reported running through the quad and hiding behind dumpsters at Wymount Terrace. The man ran through the quad, dropped to his belly and army-crawled, then got back to his feet and continued running. He ran past a woman and said “Good morning” before jumping in a car and speeding off.
June 6: An adult male dressed all in black was seen acting “stealthy and ninja-like” near Taylor Hall.
June 9: A suspicious toolbox was reported at the HFAC. The box belonged to the grounds crew working nearby.
June 11: A transient was reported asking students for bus fare. Police asked the man to leave campus.
Recovered Vehicle
June 9: A stolen vehicle was found in Lot 45. The 1993 Acura Legend was stolen from Provo City.
Animal Problem
June 10: A juvenile was reported hurting a duck near the duck pond. The police were not able to locate the juvenile or the injured duck.
Criminal Mischief
June 11: Graffiti was found in the women’s restroom of the WSC.
